UNC MP admits that “accomodation” is an attempt to win difficult seats

The UNC’s so called “accommodation” with Gary Griffith’s NTA is an attempt to win seats which have been difficult for the party to win in the past.

This is according to UNC’s St Augustine MP, Khadijah Ameen.

Speaking on Power 102 Digital Power Breakfast Show she acknowledged the party’s difficulty in winning some seats.

Ms Ameen pointed out that the only time the UNC has won those difficult seats in the past was with another accommodation in the form of the People’s Partnership.

The former Local Government official noted that a Local Government Election is about community and the persons nominated by the NTA have strong links to their communities.

Ms Ameen also revealed that members of the ILP who have also been involved in the so called “accommodation’ will run on a UNC ticket rather than the ILP.

She reminded voters that the accommodation will see the UNC support the smaller parties by endorsing their candidates.
