UNC internal Elections has been set for December 6

 Opposition Leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar announced that the UNC’s internal elections to elect a new National Executive for the United National Congress will be held on Sunday 6th December 2020.

During the party’s Monday night virtual report Persad-Bissessar said Nomination Day will be Sunday 15th November 2020 from 8 am to 4 pm at Party Headquarters Exchange Village Couva.

She also announced that Nomination Forms will be available at Party Headquarters from Thursday 29th October 2020 on weekdays 8.00 am to 4.00 pm.

The elections will be conducted in accordance with the Party’s Constitution.

The elections will be conducted in compliance with any relevant Covid regulations.

Persad-Bissessar said that “the UNC remains the only party with a plan.”

She said “I am proud to say that the UNC remains the only party with a comprehensive economic plan. We remain the only party committed to helping people climb up the social and economic ladder and achieve true independence.”

“We remain the only party committed to helping our children be ready for technological challenges of the 21st century,” said Persad-Bissessar.
