Tyra Gittens has picked up the silver medal in the women’s long jump at the 2021 NCAA D1 Outdoor Track and Field Championships Eugene, Oregon.
The Olympic-bound Gittens leaped some 6.68m on her sixth and final jump on Thursday night, to move to second place in her bid to climb the podium.
Tara Davis won the event with a jump of 6.70m, just two centimeters further than Gittens.
She will again be in action tomorrow in the women’s heptathlon.
