Two To Three Hours To Restart and Restore Supply To TATEC Customers

Two to three hours is the time line being given by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission  to restart and restore its supply to customers in Trinidad.

In a media release, TATEC said at about 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, there was a major disturbance on the electricity system which disrupted supply.

It says the cause of the problem is at this time unknown.

The release says engineers and other technical staff, led by the General Manager, Kelvin Ramsook, are currently focused on resolving the matter as quickly as possible.

It says T&TEC’s Independent Power Producers are restarting all their generators, to begin a gradual restoration of supply to all customers.

T&TEC’s 800 number hotlines were initially affected but are working again.
