Two men remain in police custody today.

They were held shortly after the St Francis Roman Catholic Pastoral Center in Belmont was vandalized on Sunday.

According to reports, two men were seen outside the premises shortly after the 7 am mass on Sunday morning.

Minutes later windows were smashed and statues were thrown to the ground.

A video of the destruction along with a description of the perpetrators soon surfaced on social media.

The men were held by police shortly after.
