Two men in breach of curfew tried to outrun police in Cunupia

Two men, who attempted to outrun police Tuesday night, were ordered to pay five thousand dollars each after pleading guilty to the breach of curfew.

The two, AARON LYNCH, 27, of Dyette Street, Cunupia, and KISHAN RAMPERSAD, 32, of Monroe Road, Cunupia, were given sixmonths to pay the fine or face imprisonment.

The two men were arrested early this morning after police intercepted a vehicle which failed to stop along Bridal Road, Cunupia.

When police officers attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver evaded police by driving violently unto neighboring roads before swerving into an open yard along Alligator Street.

Police officers successfully brought the vehicle to a stop and immediately ordered the men out.

They were unable to provide any documentationwhich authorized them to be out during the curfew.
