Two men are due to appear at the San Fernando Magistrates’ Court on Monday 28th March, 2022 after they were both charged with murder.
HILLISTER BYER, 25, also known as ‘Chubby’, a labourer of Coralita Drive, Pleasantville and AARON MOSES, 22, also called ‘Baba’, a labourer of Lillian Street, La Romaine, were charged with murder on Friday 25th March 2022. They were also charged for setting fire to a dwelling place with persons therein.
On Wednesday 5th January 2022, police discovered the charred remains of 31-year-old, Dareem Brad Hamilton, of Tarodale, Ste Madeleine amongst the burnt ruins of a house located at Marjorie Street, La Romaine, San Fernando.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau Region Three Office, together with Detective WPC Stacy Ann George conducted investigations into Mr Hamilton’s death. Several persons were interviewed and the evidence collated was presented before the Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Ms Joan Honore-Paul who advised that Aaron Moses and Hillister Byer be charged with murder.
The investigation was spearheaded by Supt (Ag.) Sean Dhillpaul and supervised by Insp Anil Maharaj.
