An accident in Chaguanas this morning, has claimed the life of two men and left another nursing serious injuries.
Around 8.45 am, Shawn Martin and two passengers identified only as Grant and Smith, were in a blue vehicle driven by Martin.
However, Martin inexplicably lost control and crashed into a concrete culvert on the corner of the northbound lane of the Uriah Butler Highway and Birjah Road.
Witnesses said the car flipped several times, killing two of the men instantly.
The third man – believed to be the driver – survived the crash and was taken to the hospital with multiple injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
