Two dead, four injured after shooting in Tunapuna

A shooting in Tunapuna last night has left two men are dead, and four others warded at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.

The deceased are Vaughn Derrick Charles, 68, of Lovell Trace, Tunapuna, and Josiah Copeland, 19, of First Trace, Tunapuna.

According to reports, around 7.30 pm, the two deceased men were among a group of persons who were liming along Stratham Lodge Street in Tunapuna, when a white Nissan Almera, registration number unknown, stopped alongside them.

The occupants of the vehicle opened fire, injuring six people.

Charles died at the scene, while Copeland died while undergoing treatment at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.

The other four victims in this incident have also been rushed to the Complex.

Three of these victims are said to be warded in critical conditions.
