Two men were arrested this morning after police responded to a report of suspicious persons at the compound of a gym located at Saddle Road, Maraval.
GARNET STAPLETON and JEFFERSON GABRIEL, both of Sea Lots, were charged for possession of house-breaking implements and unlawful possession and are due to appear virtually at the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, Tuesday 19th January, 2021.
At around 2 am on Monday 18th January, 2021, W/Ag Cpl Jones and PC Barcelo, of the St Clair Police Station’ proceeded to the said gym, where upon arrival the officers observed two male suspects on the compound.
The officers further observed that both men were in possession of a roll of wire and each had bolt cutters. The suspects, who could not account for being at the said location when questioned by officers, were arrested and taken to St. Clair Police Station to be charged.
Investigations are continuing.
