Two arrested for possession of ammunition

Two persons have been arrested in separate incidents for possession of a total quantity of 4 rounds of nine millimetre ammunition.

In the first incident, on receiving information of the alleged sale of narcotics in the area, officers of the Western Division Task Force made their way to the Fish Market in Cocorite.

Upon arrival, the officers spotted the suspect, a man from the area, and proceeded to conduct a search of his person. Four rounds of nine millimetre ammunition were found. The man was arrested and enquiries are continuing.

In the second incident, officers of the Southern Division Task Force, which included the Canine Branch, were conducting searches of targeted areas for drugs which included the Pleasantville area. A Pleasantville resident was arrested and charged for the offence of possession of ammunition.
