Turn Crime Talks For Tobago Into Action Urges THA Chief Secretary

Solid and based on data is how Chief Secretary of the Tobago House of Assembly, Farley Augustine, describes plans discussed at the National Security Council meeting led by Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley, on Tuesday in the sister isle.

However, Augustine wants to see talk relating to the fight against crime in Tobago now move into action to make inroads against criminal activity.

Augustine said he was satisfied with the plans discussed Tuesday and now it’s about executing what was deliberated upon in spite of challenges.

He said if this can be done it will be a significant mileage.

Augustine termed the meeting a proactive move and not waiting until the situation worsens to try and make intervention.

The THA Chief Secretary said with tourism being a key source of bringing income to the sister isle staying on top of things in this area is critical.

Augustine made the remarks during a news briefing held after the meeting of the National Security Council on Tuesday.
