TTUTA says schools not fully ready for a physical return to learning across the board

The Trinidad and Tobago Unified Teachers Association says that schools are not ready to house students physically.

TTUTA President Antonia DeFrietas told Power News Digital this morning, that Covid measures at schools to welcome students back to physical learning are not sufficient.

She said this is because of a lack of funding by the Government for necessary supplies for the learning institutions, this means that the schools would be unable to fully provide a healthy environment conducive to Covid free learning.

She noted that the Association has gotten reports from principals of reduced and in some cases no funding which leaves them unable to provide what’s needed for a safe return to school.
