TTPS told to revisit recruitment into the service to help weed out rogue officers

Revisiting the recruitment exercise of persons entering the protective service is cited as a critical factor in getting rid of rogue officers.

There is a suggestion the approach in this area should be sustained.

This is because criminal elements are infiltrating the protective service and continuing to carry out their activities.

These words of advice are coming from former Head of the National Operations Center, Garvin Heerah.

They were made during the Power Breakfast Programme on Power 102 Digital today.

Mr Heerah also commented on how women are being used to lure officers of the protective services into behaving a certain way and there is evidence to suggest this.
