TTPS Respects All Religious Groups, Says Acting CoP Jacob

“The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service respects all religious groups in Trinidad and Tobago”.

This position was vocalized by Acting Commissioner of Police Mc Donald Jacob when he received information that police officers allegedly desecrated a tent owned by a Muslim group.

The act allegedly occurred in Richplain, Diego Martin on Friday, April 22nd while officers were searching for a suspect in the murder of a Police Officer.

Acting Commissioner Jacob has noted that he takes these allegations very seriously, as officers must respect all religious groups as they conduct their duties. He further stated that if persons are aggrieved because of the alleged incident, they should report the matter and an investigation will be launched into the alleged incident.
