Minister of National Security, and Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, today launched the TTPS Ballistics Laboratory at Cumuto.
Today was also the graduation ceremony for 21 police officers and five civilians attached to the Forensic Science Centre who underwent a ballistics course, which began on June 1, 2020.
Addressing the function were Minister Young, gave encouraging words and advice to the graduates.
Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police, McDonald Jacob, revealed the importance of today’s event.
Senior Advisor at United Nations Regional Center of Peace Disarmament and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean, Jason Francis, highlighted the work of the organization with Trinidad and Tobago.
