A policy document is in place which will be used to help guide the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service in determining how much officers should be sent to events held by promoters.
It is hoped the implementation of the policy will help reduce concerns and complaints from promoters about increasing cost for security.
Recently senior police officers met with officials of the Trinidad and Tobago Promoters Association to hear their concerns and bring them update to date on how the situation is being handled.
However, Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Intelligence and Investigation of the TTPS, Curt Simon, told a meeting of the Joint Select Committee on Wednesday the various measures taken to treat with this situation.
