Seven matters concerning fraudulent vaccination practices by some members of the public are now before the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
Three persons were charged for conspiracy to misbehave in public office. The four other matters are currently being investigated.
The update was brought to the attention of the Senate by Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, during the question and answer period on Tuesday afternoon.
Minister Deyalsingh was asked to indicate what effect fraudulent practices were having on the Ministry’s vaccination programme.
Minister Deyalsingh said the Ministry is working closely with the TTPS to determine the prevalence of fraudulent vaccination practises and take appropriate action.
