The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) is monitoring a tropical wave (currently near 46W) that would cause a significant amount of rainfall on Sunday 22 and Monday 23.
The TTMS said the chance of tropical cyclone development remains low, however, persons should be prepared in the event that changes occur. Persons who live in flood prone areas or areas susceptible to landslides, must have an emergency plan in place and supplies available in case of an emergency. Subsequent updates will be done during the day, as more data is analyzed.
TTMS is reminding citizens that T&T is not under any alert or tropical storm watch/warning at this time, but there is a possibility that this may change soon.
