T&TEC maintenance to affect water supply to South East Trinidad

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has advised that planned maintenance works by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) on Tuesday will affect the water supply of residents in parts of South East Trinidad.

These works will affect operations at the TCO Booster Station, Tabaquite.

Those served by this facility will experience a disruption in their water supply on Tuesday from 8am to 4pm.

Areas to be affected include: Tabaquite, Brasso Venado, Guaracara, Tableland, Libertville, Rio Claro, Cunapo Southern Main Road, Biche, Plum Mitan, Charuma, New Grant, Hardbargain, Princes Town, St. Julien, Indian Walk, Hindustan, St. Mary’s Village, Cunjal, Cumuto, Whiteland, Poonah, Piparo, Morne Roche, Manahambre, Iere Village, Sisters Road, Buen Intento, Malgretoute, Williamsville, Barrackpore, Borde Narve and Penal Rock Road.

WASA reminded customers that following the resumption of operations, it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalise to some affected areas.

A limited truck-borne water service will be available with priority given to special homes, health care and government institutions.
