Trinidad and Tobago has recorded it’s first case of the Omicron variant. Minister of Health Terrance Deyalsingh made the disclosure at the MOH presser today. He said the details of the discovery were disturbing as the case is an imported case. Minister Deyalsingh said the female passenger boarded a flight from new York with a positive PCR test, and then presented a negative antigen test in Panama in contravention with the Ministry of National security protocols. He said the person, and airline carrier have been reported to the Ministry of national security. The person has been isolated in a step down facility.
