Director of the Pan American Health organization, Dr Erica Wheeler has confirmed that the latest batch of Astra Zeneca vaccines due from COVAX has arrived in Trinidad and Tobago.
She gave the confirmation this morning while speaking at the Health Ministry’s COVID media briefing.
TT got its first tranche of 33,600 AstraZeneca doses on March 30, then another 33,600 on May 10.
This is the third and final tranche of vaccines due to T&T from COVAX.
TT was supposed to receive this third tranche in July, but the shipment was delayed by Covax until August.
