As part of the national drive to safeguard the health of the Trinidad and Tobago population in the face of the global COVID-19 outbreak, the Ministry of Health provides the following update on the country’s COVID-19 status.
As of the afternoon of Friday, 26th June, 2020 the Ministry reports the following:
|Number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the UWI site for testing for COVID-19||4861|
|Number of samples which have tested positive||124|
|Number of deaths||8|
|Number of persons discharged||109|
The Ministry of Health also provided the following update:
- One additional returning national from the Enchantment of the Seas tested has positive for COVID-19. All established protocols are being implemented.
