The Government of Trinidad and Tobago has entered into a partnership with the European Union for the construction of a Solar Park.
A Sod Turning Ceremony for the installation of the Solar Park at the Piarco International Airport was held on Tuesday.
The project, which is funded by the EU at a cost of TT$12M, is intended to assist in reducing the Airport’s carbon footprint.
It is said to be the first initiative of this scale to be implemented for self-consumption and is a positive step for the Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago.
