TT Cyclist Nicholas Paul 5th In Keirin Quarter-Final At Paris Olympic Games

Trinidad and Tobago Cyclist, Nicholas Paul,  placed 5th in his keirin quarterfinal, at the Olympic Games in Paris at 5.29 Sunday  morning.

The result means Paul has been eliminated and will not move on to the semi-finals stage of competition at the prestigous event.

He raced in heat two of three against Canadian Nick Wammes, Colombian Cristian Ortega, Great Britain’s Hamish Turnbull, Japan’s Shinji Nakano and Harrie Lavreysen of the Netherlands.

Paul secured a place in the quarterfinal round with victory in heat five, finishing ahead of Poland’s Mateusz Rudyk.

The first four riders in each heat qualify for the semifinals.
