TT Chamber of Commerce disappointed with 2 week stay at home extension

Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce issued a statement from their CEO, Gabriel Faria, which states it is unfortunate that government did not listen to their request to increase testing earlier and expresses his disappointment at the additional two week extension in the stay at home order.

He hoped there would have been a phased opening of businesses next week as businesses are running short on cash and generating significant losses. He hopes that the government will deliver on its promise of meaningful support to businesses and its employees. He urges all citizens who are not required to work to stay at home unless absolutely necessary so the economy can be gradually restarted.
