Tropical Storm Dorian expected to hit B’dos, no threat to T&T

Tropical Storm Dorian is expected to hit Barbados today. The storm was upgraded from a tropical depression on Saturday.

According to the TT Met Office, the storm is moving from a north-west-north direction from an Atlantic location and headed to Barbados. The storm is said to be 430 miles from Barbados with sustained winds of up to 40 miles per hour.

At present, Dorian presents no direct threat to T&T but Eastern Caribbean countries such as St. Lucia could experience effects of the storm by Tuesday.
