Three men were killed in Icacos, Cedros at daybreak this morning.
It happened at Icacos Point, the toe of Trinidad, where a Venezuelan migrant village has been set up near the fishing port.
Two were shot dead and a third died when his throat was slit.
Dead are 36-year-old Kareem Celestine of Icacos Village; Joshua Sadhoo of Fullerton Village; and a Point Fortin fishermen identified only as ‘Darko’.
Residents said the men were liming late into the morning when around 3 am, gunmen came to the beach via a boat.
The gunmen reportedly opened fire on Darko’s vehicle killing Sadhoo. They then fired at Celestine’s shed where he was with Darko.
The gunmen then walked to another house where the immigrants were and opened fire.
