Trini speaks at NASA Biocene Event

In November 2020, Stardust Life-Centered Design Founder Giselle Carr had the incredible opportunity to speak at NASA – National Aeronautics and Space Administration Biocene – a gathering of scientists, engineers, designers, educators and biomimics focused on how nature-inspired exploration on Earth and in space benefits all of life.
Her talk was entitled Wild Resilience: Learnings from Islands for a World Navigating Disorder, and she shared a panel with two brilliant men changing the world, Billy Almon and AJ Link.
Around the world, island nations such as those in the Caribbean, have developed not only a relentless sense of resilience, but an exquisite nature of antifragility; that is to say, in some ways island nations have developed strength from disorder. During a time of global unpredictability and climate change, these nations potentially have learnings that can inform the complex navigation of changing economic, social and ecological paradigms.
