Trinbago Knight Riders Will Not Retain Their CPL Title This Year.

A new Caribbean Premier League T20 Champion will be known on Wednesday in the CPL final at Warner Park, St Kitts after Defending title holders, Trinbago Knight Riders lost the first semi-final match Tuesday by twenty-one runs against St Lucia Kings.

Batting first after winning the toss Kings reached 205 for 4 from 20 overs.

Mark Deyal led the scoring with 78 runs which included five boundaries and six sixes.

In reply, TKR managed 184 all out from 19.3 overs.

Player of the Match,  David Wiese,  was the main wicket taker with figures of 5 for 39 from 4 overs.

Sunil Narine 30, Colin Munroe 28, Dinesh Ramdin 29, Darren Bravo 25 and Captain Kieron Pollard 26 were the main contributors to TKR innings.

In the second semi-final, Guyana Amazon Warriors are batting first against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots who won the toss and decided to field.
