Trinbago Knight Riders Top CPL Standings After Six Wicket Win Against Barbados Royals Today.

Defending Caribbean Premier League T20 Champions, Trinbago Knight Riders, top the standings in the CPL following their victory against Barbados Royals by six wickets at Warren Park, St Kitts, today.

TKR are on ten points after eight matches, winning five, losing three and having a better run rate, than second place St Kitts and Nevis Patriots who are also on ten points.

St Lucia Kings and Guyana Amazon Warriors are on eight points, followed by Jamaica Tallawahs and Barbados Royals on six and four respectively.

On the field of play, TKR elected to field after winning the toss and restricted Royals to 93 for 9 from 20 overs.

Player of the Match, Spinner Kharry Pierre, led the bowling attack with 3 wickets for 16 runs from four overs.

Support also came from spinners Akeal Hosein 2 for 13 and Sunil Narine 2 for 30 while fast bowler, Jayden Seales had 2 for 12.

Kyle Mayers top scored for Royals with 24 runs.

Set 94 runs to win, TKR reached 99 for 4 from 16.5 overs.

Colin Munroe led the way with 41 runs.

Mohammed Amir and Joshua Bishop had two wickets each for Royals.

In the second match today, Jamaica Tallawahs play against St Lucia Kings from 7pm.
