The Tobago Regional Health Authority (TRHA) is now on the hunt for a new chairman of the board of directors, as its current chairman, Ingrid Melville has suddenly resigned, with immediate effect.
Melville turned her resignation letter yesterday, Tuesday, 15th June.
She wrote:
“I wish to inform you that I have tendered my resignation as a member and Chairman of the Board of the TRHA with immediate effect.
Undoubtedly, these are difficult times as the TRHA is at the forefront of Tobago’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have carefully considered and weighed this as I made the decision to resign.
I believe that as an entity, the Board of the TRHA is at a place where all members have a sound understanding of the organization which you are called upon to lead.
I know that the Executive carefully selected each member, and your talent and skills would serve the organization in good stead.”
