Traffic restrictions in place for WCPL

The public is advised of temporary traffic restrictions starting from today, Wednesday ahead of the Women’s Caribbean Premier League T20 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba

The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service said in an update that under The Traffic Restriction (Temporary Provisions) (Women’s Caribbean Premier League T20) Order, 2024, the following restrictions will be in effect from:

-7am on Wednesday August 21, 2024 to 1am Saturday August 24, 2024
-7am on Sunday August 25, 2024, to 1am on Wednesday August 26, 2024
-7am on Thursday August 29, 2024 to 2am Friday, August 30, 2024.

Parking prohibited

Parking is prohibited on Gasparillo Bypass Road, Palmyra Agricultural Road, Brian Lara Cricket Academy Access Road, Tarouba Link Road and the northbound shoulder and southbound shoulders of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway between Corinth and Gasparillo overpass.

Traffic and parking prohibited

Under the Order, driving and parking are prohibited on Brian Lara Boulevard and the southbound exit ramp (Princes Town exit) off the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway onto Tarouba Link Road.

One-way traffic

During the period of the Order, traffic will be in an easterly direction along the Gasparillo Bypass Road, between the Sir Solomn Hochoy Highway and Palmyra Agricultural Road.

The TTPS said any vehicles found in violation of the Order can be removed by police and impounded, in accordance with section 108(1)(b) of the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act.
