Traffic finally eases in the west as WASA and T&TEC completes works

After hours of gridlock traffic and disruption to the water supply in West Trinidad, some ease was experienced from around 5 o’ clock yesterday afternoon when utilities WASA and T&TEC completed works on a ruptured transmission line.
The pipeline is located along the Western Main Road, Cocorite near to the Peake’s Service Station.
The work caused grid loxk traffick leading into the West of Trinidad, with some drivers saying that they were caught up in traffic for more than 2 hrs.
WASA says the water supply should normalise in the next 12 to 24 hours.
