Trade Unions Express Disappointment In Amalgamated Workers Union Acceptance Of Four Percent Wage Offer

The National Union of Government and Federated Workers is not in support of the decision by the Amalgamated Workers Union to accept the four percent offer by the Chief Personnel Officer during negotiations on Tuesday.

Speaking at a news briefing held today, President of NUGFW, James Lambert, described the move by Amalgamated Workers Union as shameful.

Mr Lambert reviewed the performance of the economy and the hardship faced by the working class and spending by the government.

President of the Contractors and General Workers Trade Union, Ermine De Bique, also voiced her disappointment with the acceptance of the offer by the AWU.
