Trade Disputes Account For Majority Of Cases Filed In The Industrial Court This Year, Reveals Thomas-Felix

Trade disputes form the largest number of matters filed before the Industrial Court this year.

They amount to seven hundred and thirty (730) matters.

Retrenchment and severance benefit disputes are second on the list.

Amounting to one hundred and eleven (111).

Also among matters coming before the court are industrial relations offences.

Fifty-eight (58) fall in this category.

The disclosure was made by President of the Industrial Court, Deborah Thomas Felix, at the opening of Industrial Courts’ 2022/2023 law term on Monday.

Mrs Thomas Felix also cited the importance of trust in the process and how this factor is a key in making tripartite efficient.

The Industrial Court President also called for the arrangement to allow all the participants involved to give their views and concerns.
