Trade And Industry Minsitry Appoints Commercial Officers, Commercial Attachés to Overseas Markets

Former government minister, Darryl Smith, is among five commercial Officers and Commercial Attachés appointed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry to represent Trinidad and Tobago in the international trade and investment arena.

Their main responsibilities will be to develop overseas markets and boost exports to key strategic trading partners.

The new representatives will be responsible for not only promoting trade in goods and services but will also seek to attract new investment opportunities to Trinidad & Tobago.

Minister of Trade and Industry, Paula Gopee Scoon, met with the new trade representatives today.

The Commercial Officers are Vincent Ramlochan, who will be based in Panama; Adanna Taylor in the United Kingdom with responsibility for Europe, and Darryl Smith in the United States of America with responsibility also for Canada.

The Commercial Attachés Melissa Arnaud-Taylor and Jeniece Scoon will be based in Guyana and Jamaica respectively.
