Toboago told to rekindle focus on self-dependency

There must be renewed efforts to get Tobago’s economy back to a place where it will be able to lessen its dependence on Central government.

It’s a suggestion coming from Economist, Dr Varnus James, while speaking during the Afternoon Power Drive Programme on Power 102 Digital on Wednesday.

Dr James said at one stage the concept was very vibrant but claimed  over the years focus has been lost along the way  and emphasis must be rekindled in this direction.
