Tobago Youth Exposed To Financial Literacy Training

The young people of Tobago are exposed to several areas relating to financial literacy especially coming out of the hardship and implications experienced by many during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This took place at the financial literacy event, ‘Chat with Chief’, held on Sunday.

Financial Education Instructor, Alana A. Alleyne, reviewed the difficulties faced during the pandemic and highlighted the importance of young people learning the significance of properly managing their money and developing skills which will help them navigate these tough times.

Business Coach and Advisor Jason Arthur, suggested consideration should be giving to making financial literacy become a part of the school education system adding there are numerous benefits from adopting this approach.

Director of Iconic Events and President of Tobago Motor Sports Dexter Sandy noted the significance of people getting reliable information before decided to embark on certain decisions such as the purchase of a house, car and other major expenses.
