Tobago police probing an alleged kidnapping

A 69-year-old man was reportedly kidnapped in Tobago on Thursday night.

The victim told investigators that he was walking along Mt Thomas Main Road around 9:35pm, when a vehicle pulled up next to him and three masked men exited the car.

They began assaulting him and then placed a bandana over his face.
The victim’s hands were then tied up and he was thrown into the backseat of the car, then they drove off.

When the vehicle stopped and the bandanna was removed, the victim realized he had been taken to the Les Coteaux Waterfall Road.

The men threatened the victim, leaving him tied up, and warned him not to move.

The suspects then drove off.

The victim was able to free himself and seek assistance.

The police were notified and a team officers are continuing enquiries.
