Tobago has had no new Covid-19 cases for the last 25 days, but Tobago House of Assembly Health Secretary, Tracy Davidson-Celestine, said it did not mean that the sister isle was Covid free.
During Saturday’s media briefing in Tobago, Davidson-Celestine said the good news was the result of their planning and preparations, and aggressive primary and secondary contact tracing, among other efforts.
However, she warned against complacency.
She said, “Not having a tested positive case is not a license to flout our regulations.”
She said the Tobago public has been adhering to the regulations, but she urged them to continue coming forward for testing if they are displaying symptoms.
