Tobago in the 2020/2021 Budget – A new Ferry on the horizon

A new fast Ferry is expected to arrive and go into service on the sea bridge by the end of December 2020.

This according to Finance Minister, Colm Imbert during the Fiscal Budget 2020/2021 presentation.

Minister Imbert said this new Ferry will hold 926 passengers and 250 cars at 37.5knots  and is expected to reach Tobago in less than three hours.

The Ferry’s ‘sister ship’, the “Buccoo Reef,” will arrive shortly after.

Construction of new terminal at the ANR Int’l Airport to commence in January 2021.

Tobago’s allocation in the Budget is, $2.134 billion or 4 per cent of total budget.
