TIWU hopes wage negotiations settle for workers

President of the Transport and Industrial Workers Union, Judy Charles, says the Union is hoping for an urgent settlement of outstanding wage negotiations for employees of both the Public Transport Service Corporation and the National Maintenance Training and Security Company Limited, MTS.

The union represents workers from both organisations, who demonstrated this morning in front of the PTSC’s City Gate hub in downtown Port of Spain.

Speaking with Newspower Now this afternoon, Ms Charles said the authorities were informed of today’s action.

She said the Union wants to get started with collective bargaining for the period 2014 to the present.
