Three women to refree for the first time at a Men’s World Cup

History in the making as the World Cup Qatar 2022 will see women refrees in a Men’s World Cup.

Stéphanie Frappart, Salima Mukansanga and Yoshimi Yamashita will become the first women referees to officiate the tournament this year.

The 36 referees, 69 assistant referees and 24 video match officials have been selected on their performances during Fifa fixtures and at other international and domestic competitions.
