Police have released three suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of nine-year-old Jomol Modeste.
The men, who are from Central Trinidad, were taken into custody on Sunday, but lawyers contested their detention and three were released yesterday.
The fourth suspect is still being detained in connection with possession of ammunition.
In related news, two men have been shot dead in Enterprise, Chaguanas, in what police strongly believe may have been a reprisal attack for the fatal shooting of nine-year-old Jomol.
Marius Gueverra and Tevin Neptune Joseph were reportedly on their way to swear to affidavits in favour of four men detained in connection with Jomol’s murder when they were ambushed and shot dead.
