Three Men Held In Connection With Report Of Robbery With Aggravation

Three men are arrested in connection with a report of robbery with aggravation which occurred on April 25th, 2022 in the Arima district.

Two of the suspects, ages 27 and 22, were arrested for robbery with aggravation, possession of an imitation firearm and resisting arrest, while the third, a 23-year-old, was arrested for receiving stolen property.

Officers then arrested an 18-year-old Arima man in connection with a report of robbery with aggravation at a home for the aged in the district, while a 32-year-old man also of Arima, was held in connection with a report of wounding also in the district last month.

A third suspect of Valencia was held in connection with a report of larceny at an Arima supermarket.

All three are expected to be charged with the offences and appear before an Arima Magistrate this week.

The weekend activities also included massive firearm retrieval anti-crime exercise conducted between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm, on Sunday 2nd May, 2022, involving traffic road traffic exercises in the Cumuto and La Horquetta districts.

Four suspects were arrested on outstanding warrants during the exercise.

A roving exercise was conducted in the Arima district between the hours of 6pm and 8:30pm on Monday, by members of the Arima Operations Unit.

Five persons were arrested for various offences including trafficking a dangerous drug within 500 metres of a school, public drunkenness, indecent exposure and escaping lawful custody.
