Three men were arrested and a quantity of marijuana seized by officers along the Uriah Butler Highway.
Reports indicate officers were performing traffic duties around 9 pm, on February 20th , 2024, along the north-bound lane of the UBH near the Caroni overpass during road paving exercises, when they observed a white Toyota Corolla motor vehicle with three male occupants experiencing mechanical problems.
The officers made checks of the vehicle which resulted in the discovery of five packages wrapped in plastic.
The packages were found to contain a quantity of marijuana.
The three suspects, ages 22 to 25, of San Fernando and Couva were arrested in connection with the find.
