Three charged for marijuana possession

Three men were arrested during an anti-crime exercise yesterday in the Southern Division. The exercise involved the execution of seven search warrants at residences in Pleasantville, Cocoyea, and Claxton Bay.
It resulted in the arrest and subsequent charge of:
• ROGER POPE, 33, of Banga Hill, Soledad Road, Claxton Bay, for possession of 1.8 kilogrammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. The charge was laid by PC Loutan;
• JABARI CLAXTON, 23, and AZIM CLAXTON, 25, both of Invererne Road, Cocoyea, for possession of 1.5 kilogrammes of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking. The charge was laid by PC Legendre.
The exercise which was conducted between the hours of 3 pm and 9 pm was coordinated by Snr Supt Lucia Winchester, Supt Carty, ASP Ramdass, and Insp Phillip.
It was supervised by Sgts Charles and Joseph, and Cpl Charles, and included officers of the Southern
Division Task Force (SDTF) and the Canine Branch.
