Operation ‘Real Steal’ conducted in the Southern Division (SD) has resulted in the arrest of three suspects, two males, one female and the seizure of a firearm loaded and a quantity of ammunition on Monday 29th May, 2023.
During the exercise based on intelligence, officers had cause to stop and search a Toyota Fielder with three suspects which proceeding in an easterly direction along the Naparima Mayaro Main Road, in the vicinity of the Tableland Police Station.
In the said vehicle law men found and seized an AR 15 assault Rifle with three magazines and seventy-three rounds of 5.56mm ammunition.
The suspects were detained and taken to the station to be formally charged.
