Covid-19 becoming less of a threat is one of the factors which will be closely monitored by the government before a decision is taken to have students return, in full, to classes.
Dr Keith Rowley made this disclosure during the conversations with the Prime Minister this week.
Dr Rowley said the aim is to get students out to classes as quickly as possible.
However, Dr Rowley made it clear this move will be influenced by the state the country is in with respect to Covid-19 infections.
Dr Rowley added if there are factors which will change the condition making the virus less of threat to the population; the intention will be to get students back to the class rooms.
